The Vela Group is seeking to award a contract for demolition services/works as part of its housing improvement program.

Vela intends to enter into a framework agreement to establish a panel of 3 or 4 contractors.  The framework agreements will be in place for a 4-year period to cover the programme of demolitions of the Vela Group's housing stock.  The Vela Group reserves the right to award work either directly to teh preferred supplier without the need for further competition and or to undertake a mini competition between all framework suppliers where we feel the volumes and requirements may lend themselves to obtain better value via mini competition. 

Suppliers are to note that the Vela Group will use its appointed suppliers from its Asbestos Framework Agreement for teh survey and removal of asbestos in relation to pre-demolition works, however if the appointed demolition suppliers to the demolition framework agreement has a dedicated asbestos arm to their organisation/group then they can also be asked to quote for asbestos survey and removal along with our appointed asbestos removal suppliers.
